9/1/2009 Here's a little known secret about his little Italian resturant that has (had) a reputation for great Italian food, and superior service. If your a local resident or just in town for the weekend, you can save a lot of money by simply going somewhere else! That is of course, if you really want a good meal. I don't mind paying a premium price for excellent service and food that is appriciably better than the average. For the price they charge, you do get greeted by the host or hostess who will be glad to make you feel as welcome as a turd in a punch bowl. Don't ask for a booth as this really upsets the soup nazi since he'll have to carry the menu's back and write your request for a booth down, letting you know how inconvienient you have made his task. While you wait in the bar you can enjoy some of the most highly priced mis-mixed combinations of spirits. (Two mixed drinks, house call, will hit you for $12). If you still are determined to eat there and have put up with the host's attitude and arrived at your booth ready to order from their menu get ready for the waitress. I really can't fault her as she is working under-staffed and the food is on line with a Denny's type of preparation. Can't change or delete any item. All dishes are pre-made in advance and warmed prior to serving. They have lost their touch in preparing true italian flavor and seem content to rely upon their past reputation. They must know their quality is poor since we noticed the doggie bags and containers are located right by the tables for quick access. We ate their last year and recieved the same type of service and atitude. Many years prior we also enjoyed this restaurants faire and good service. Mama Lanza may have died perhaps, but the service and food here will certainly be making her roll over in her grave. Stay Away!! Save Money!! Save your frustration with their atitude.
